Theatre Project (7:30 p.m. April 26) is nearly sold out. Seats are

and director after the show.)
BEAUTIFUL HILLS OF BROOKLYN
"Beautiful Hills of Brooklyn" is a one-woman, one-act play based on the
actual diary of an elderly woman. The play vividly evokes the joys and
sorrows in the life of Jessie Sylvester -- then soars off in surprising
directions, including the flowing verses of Walt Whitman. Joanna Merlin
(Fiddler on the Roof, Fame, Law and Order) creates a spare beauty and a
rich inner life in this poignant and unusual piece, which enjoyed its
New York debut in 2003.
Winner of a Moondance Festival Award for playwright Ellen Cassedy.
Sponsored by the American Visionary Art Museum as a benefit for
Hypothetical Outreach Programs, a theatre education project.
