[BES Friends] UN DPI-NGO Conference -- interactive

Carol & I are registered to attend this huge UN NGO conference <http://www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/57conf.htm> in person.  
Recall that our national (AEU) and international (IHEU) organizations are 
official NGO's, and that our representatives made a well-received presentation 
on their UN activities at a BES platform last January.
As you can see from the forwarded message, it is possible to interact online 
with the proceedings<http://www.unngodpiconference.org/>.  Also, if anyone has any particular interests or issues that you would like to make Carol and me aware of before we attend, especially as they relate to the millenium development goals, please let us know.

I have attached the Press release for the 57th annual DPI/NGO conference held at UN headquarter in New York, September 8-10, 2004. As you can see from the Press release an interactive website makes it possible to be part of this conference. I would hope that this info can get out to our members and also that headquarters/societies, etc. link to this website as well as let folks know that this conference is happening.
 
I hope that the HI classes past and present would be interested in these proceedings as they deal with States parties' promises on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
