HELP BRING FRESH WATER TO SHARANA!
ALL donations / purchases from this event will go towards digging a well for
Sharana during Fahima's next trip. Sharana (pop. 10,000) is the provincial seat
of Paktika province. Due to drought and wells destroyed during the past
conflicts, Sharana residents have little access to fresh water. Viable wells in
this area must be 80m deep (263 ft) due to the low water table. Therefore, our
goal is to raise $8,500 so AWF can sponsor the digging of a central well,
including drilling, pump, generator, piping, and maintenance. This will provide
drinking, sanitation, and irrigation water for the entire area.
Please join us!
No donation too large or small
