Theme:
A dedication and benefit for Mukhtaran Bibi -- a women sentence to rape 
by her tribal counsel.  She was expected to commit suicide to preserve 
the honor of her tribe but instead she fought back, was able to receive 
the retribution that she deserved and opened schools for her community.  
She is also now trying to raise money for her school and a clinic. 
 
The performance, which will be directed by Aja Warnock, includes poems, 
dancing, and music performed and written by:
Ausset, Sarah Cowie, Marcus Colasurdo, Alan Barysh, Lorna Terry, 
Caroline Brown, Jasaga, Medina Krause, Brian E. Langston,  and our own* 
Karla Mancero.*
