Guerrilla Girls Lecture, Friday, November 3, 7:00 pm, sponsored by the Contemporary Museum in connection with its current exhibition Girls' Night Out
Graham Auditorium at the Walters Art Museum (enter on Centre Street)

The Contemporary Museum hosts one of the founding members of the Guerrilla Girls as she presents a dynamic lecture, in full jungle drag, about the activities of this secretive group of activist women artists. The Guerrilla Girls are feminist masked avengers in the tradition of anonymous do-gooders like Robin Hood, Wonder Woman and Batman. Since 1985, the Guerrilla Girls have assumed the names of dead women artists and worn gorilla masks in public, concealing their identities to focus on the under-representation of women in museum exhibitions and collections, on museum boards, and in positions of power in the arts.

Tickets: $5 Non-Members; Free for Members of the Contemporary Museum and the Walters Art Museum and for current MICA students—Current Membership and/or MICA ID Cards is required for free admission.
Reservations Recommended. For more information or to reserve by phone call 410.783.5720

NOTE: This event takes place in the Graham Auditorium at the Walters Art Museum (enter on Centre Street) and is followed by a special dessert reception at the Contemporary Museum.

This Contemporary Museum Fall Lecture is made possible by Goya Contemporary and Goya Girl Press.
